Chateau Trottevielle AC St Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classe 2006 (6 bottles)

A parchment dating from 1453 testifies the use of the name Trotteveielle for the estate and the existence of a vineyard. A plot of the vines dates back to the time before phylloxera and is more than 120 years old.

Vinification: This wine is vinified in the traditional method and then matured for 20 to 24 months in oak, 70% of which is new.

Tasting Note: With a majority of Merlot in the blend, this wine consistently has great concentration and length. Deeply coloured with lovely depth of blackberry fruit with hints of coffee and chocolate. A truly elegant Bordeaux wine of great finesse.

Every day serving suggestion: This wine serves well with red and white meats, roasts, lamb, poultry and game.
