In line with our aim to continually obtain a wine which reflects the personality of both the winery and the estate, Remelluri has produced the "Jaime Rodríguez 2003 Collection", applying the quality criteria required of a wine in order to achieve its ultimate expression.

The year in question saw some extremely variable weather conditions.

This wine's life began with a strict process of selection of the grapes in the estates where they were grown. This process then continued in the winery with the final blending of wine.

Precise and proper ageing in new wood has enabled the superb sensations and qualities offered by this "Collection" to be harmonized and smoothed out.

TASTING NOTES

Intense dark cherry red colour, great depth and a maroon edge. Smooth legs and viscous movement in the glass.

Aromas of sweet fruit, compote, crystallized fruit, fig jam, candied oranges and black chocolate, followed by hints of purple flowers, violets and dried flowers. Bottom note of mocha and toasty coffee which fits perfectly with the floral aromas. This bottom note is accompanied by flint notes and hints of incense and musk. In short, it has a very aromatic, viscous and fat nose, which is complex and offers a mix of sweetness and aromas that evoke oriental spices.

It is a wine with a warm, full, meaty and juicy entry. The finish again evokes the mocha and the hints of incense. The palate is long and persistent with a strong, fat tannin structure which brings everything together.

In short, it is a harmonious, intense wine with a very promising future.
