A family owned Estate comprising of 22 hectares in Chateauneuf du Pape and 11 hectares in the Cotes du Rhone. Andre Brunel makes wines from Estate grown grapes as well as grapes from his neighbouring growers that he tends in the vineyards. Brunel's hallmark is fruit emphasis with balanced tannins and the fruit flavours lingering through to a long finish.

Vinification: The grapes are crushed and de-stemmed. Alcoholic fermentation is started by introducing selected yeasts and takes place in temperature controlled vats at 28-32C. Daily pumping over takes place. Part of the Syrah is aged in barriques (1/3 new, 1/3 1 year old and the balance in 2 year old barriques). Only 3% of the total blend spends time in barriques. The different cuvees are blended after having spent 18 months in large oak casks.

Tasting Note: A deep coloured wine with a hint of cherries, smoke and ripe fruit on nose and palate. A concentrated, complete and elegant wine with smooth flavours lasting through to a long finish.

Every day serving suggestion: At room temperature with strong flavoured meat dishes, game and cheese.

Blend  Grenache 70%, Mourvèdre 20%, Syrah 10%
