The grapes are sourced from 10 to 25 year old Sangiovese Grosso vines in the Greppo vineyards, the wine is aged for 3 years in large Slavonian oak barrels. An iconic producer both in Italy and across the world Biondi-Santi creates a long-lived and exceptionally complex Brunello. The nose shows sweet, dark cherries and berries, liquorice, smoke and savoury notes; the palate adds minerality, elegance and integrated tannins which are very fine.
