A premium non-vintage Champagne reinvigorated by the late, great, Chef de Cave Daniel Thibault, who uniquely won the International Wine Challenge Sparkling Winemaker of the Year award 5 times. He dramatically increased the percentage of old reserve wines in this ‘cuvée’ and began the practice of detailing the year the bottle was cellared on its ‘lees’ and when it underwent ‘dégorgement’. On recently released bottles this information appears on the back label and neck-collar. Charles Heidsieck is listed in Tom Stevenson’s ‘Wine Report 2008’ as the Best Value Champagne Producer.
